I’d Rather Be a Bee

I don’t wanna be a fly on the wall
The things that you’d hear
Both great and small.

For too many words idly heard
Are too much for me
I’d rather be a bee.

If I were a bee the sights that I’d see!
We’d soar through the flowers
For hours and hours.

Life would be sweet
To be a colony
Our honeycomb bustling!
As busy as can be!

Of course there are dangers
Swatting hands from mere strangers
And if in haste
My sting one should taste.

One last chance!
One sweeping sky dance!
Life passing before my kaleidoscope eyes
I’d soarly regret my incautious demise.

Life wouldn’t be glum
If I were a bee
For In our hive we’d have honey with tea
The work would be easy
And our days would be breezy
So I know what I’d choose

I’d rather be a bee.

    1. Thanks Ali! πŸ˜€ I need to bee more creative. Winter is my crunch time health wise. Everything gets harder, so I was trying to get my mind in a more whimsical place. I can’t wait till spring either. It just snowed here the other day. It was funny, I said to my guy, “We’ve had a pretty mild Winter so far. He says, “Oh, you’ve gone and done it now.” I agreed lol and said, “Yeah, just watch, tomorrow it will snow.” AND it did…lol. πŸ˜„
