Tina Rabbit

So I was munching away on a carrot as I juggled lime green markers in bed one morning. I went to grab my carrot to take another bite, but it was nowhere to be found. I thought to myself, hmmm… I guess I must have finished it. I was still hungry. Carrots aren’t very filling.

Much Later…

I’m brushing my teeth before bed… Andrew filled my bottle of water and took it to the bedroom for me. He put out my magnesium on the nightstand. Thankfully, he stopped hiding it on me. I’m so glad my days of enrichment are over.

From the bathroom I hear him call out, “I found a half eaten carrot in bed!” I call back, “Ohhhhhhh, that’s where it went.” That explains why I was still so hungry.

He laughed that time. I win.

When I went to bed I found two carrots in my pillow. I guess he thought I might get hungry or have a hankering to juggle carrots. I did… I did have a hankering to juggle carrots. So that was kind and thoughtful.

Couldn’t come up with a good Bible verse to go with this one, but I do have a Velveteen Rabbit quote that I love.

Becoming Real

“He said “You become. It takes a long time. That’s why it doesn’t happen to those who break easily or have sharp edges, or have to be carefully kept. Generally by the time you are real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don’t matter at all because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand.” ❤
