Remind Me

When I’m struggling to concentrate

Can’t see anything new

Lord, help me to remember everything You do.

When I’m trying to move forward

But it seems I’m standing still

Lord, help me to remember that I can trust Your sovereign will.

When I don’t understand

Lord, help me to take Your hand

I don’t want to feel far

I want that closeness once again.

When I’ve grown tired and weary

And I’m waiting for that change

Lord, help me to remember there’s still power in Your name.

When I fear I’m getting nowhere

And I believe I’ll fail once more

Lord, help me to remember that You’ll help me to that shore.

When I’m trying way too hard

And life feels like one big test

Remind me, Lord, You Love me

And that in You I’ll find my rest.

The Lord Reveals…

“At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.”

“All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.“”

Matthew 11:25-27

He Defends and Supplies…

“It becomes children to be grateful. When we come to God as a Father, we must remember that He is Lord of heaven and earth, which obliges us to come to Him with reverence as to the sovereign Lord of all; yet with confidence, as one able to defend us from evil, and to supply us with all good.”

Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

He Gives Us Rest…

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30

    1. Hello. Thank you. ☺ I’m not sure how to address you. (I’m being really honest.) How am I? Why does that seem like a difficult question to answer? I am a bit all over the place these days, but I am moving forward slowly. That’s progress at least. How are you?

  1. A beautiful poem! It says so much! When we are drowning in discouragement, it can be so difficult to say these words, and to even think in this direction. But turning to the Lord is vital to get us back on track. Thanks for sharing! Blessings!! ✝️❤️

    1. Yes, there is no other way than to turn to Him. I was actally struggling to concentrate on my Bible study when I was lead to shift gears and pour out my heart. My mind was fuzzy. Couldn’t concentrate at all, but God lead me a different direction. After writing my poem I knew immediately what verse I needed.

It really encouraged me that He would lead me and remind me. It was a prayer that was immediately answered. This isn’t always the case. Some prayers take a while, but He comforted me and that gave me hope again. ☺ ❤ He is definitely very kind and faithful when we come to Him with our honest feelings.

      1. Yes, definitely. Sometimes I don’t realize that He is leading, though, until I see that He has given me something I need. Just proves to me that He can steer this boat if I just give Him my time. ❤ ❤ ❤
