Every Morning

I’ve been under the waves

Straining to swim

Fighting the current

And reaching to win.

Some days I grow weary

My vision grows dim

But you are my eyes, Lord

When there’s turmoil within.

Your mercies don’t cease

They’re new at days dawn

What will the tide bring

When I can’t carry on?

There’s always some hope

There’s always some joy

For Your gifts are sweet grace

Amidst the world’s noise.

I’ve been under the waves

Straining to swim

But every morning there’s news

That Your love always wins. ❤

Show Us Every Morning

“Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3:21-23

“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.”

Psalm 143:8

  1. I love to go to the beach after a big storm–I may find a special worn shell, a smooth piece of driftwood…a dead whale, sea bird, any kind of strange thing….
    Love your poem.
And He gives a song in the night as well.
    bless you!
