Licensed to Go

Hello,

I’ve missed you. I’ve missed all of you.

Life does take some twists, turns and detours doesn’t it? Yes, it does. However, I’ve truly been missing writing, reading and fellowship. Therefore, I’m aiming to start blogging again once a week. Wednesday sounds like a plan! Consider this my return to blogging.

On the 23rd of September I passed my knowledge test to acquire a learners license!!! I’m now legally allowed to run people over. Watch out!  I can’t believe they allow this.

On a more serious note. I’m very serious about learning to safely and wisely maneuver a vehicle from point A to point B.

As Followers of Christ we’re licensed (or qualified and equiped) both to learn and to preach the good news about Jesus Christ. Well, not many should become teachers. (James 3:1) However, we all can confidently share our faith and God’s love with those who give us the go ahead. Or the right of way. (Matthew 10:14)

As God equipped Moses–who believed he wasn’t a good enough speaker–God gives us what we need to live the  kind of life He has called us to.  So go and sow those seeds of love, life and liberty, rembering to have patience as you do. We don’t go alone.

The Lord Will Equip Us

“Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.” So the Lord said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I, the Lord? Now therefore, go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say.”” –

Exodus 4:10-11, NKJV

Go and Sow…. (God is with us)

“Now wherever you go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. And teach them to faithfully follow all that I have commanded you. And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.”

Matthew 28:19-20 (The Passion Translation)

  2. Congrats on passing your written test and on acquiring your learner’s permit!
Love your photos and the verses you’ve chosen! I didn’t even know that longanimous was a word; the definition you put up sounds so much like what our pastor was talking about on Sunday when he defined “meekness”. He’s preaching on the Beatitudes, and this week it was on “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5
