Fix Her Crown Award

I wasn’t going to accept awards this year! I have my reasons, but I’m not telling! However, Dawn’s nomination was really sweet and unexpected, and it gives me a chance to nominate some ladies who have really blessed me. Thank you, Dawn!

Dawn’s blog is called Drawing Closer to Christ. She writes wonderful insightful reminders to help her readers continue growing in the Lord.

The rules are simple:

Because my grandma was wonderful, I miss her, and this was my parents 25th Wedding Anniversary. This summer Andrew and I will be celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary! Crazy, right!? Where does the time go? (Hoop earrings and braces. Those were the days.)

Because it’s true: Jesus is my King. Andrew gave me the cross (that I layered over this photo) on our first date. I thought receiving a cross was the weirdest gift at the time. (lol) That’s a long story, but I cherish that cross now.  

Because I had to do something fun, and these are the absolute most recent photos of me. (Taken yesterday.)

I didn’t cheat! I didn’t use 4 photos. Nuh uh! That last ones a meme! It’s a Tina Meme. A T’eme. It counts as one. And it’s all true!!!! Nobody can decide on how to spell casual casually. Oh, the ironing. More like the absence there of. The casual side is more me. Casual and tired. (Has anyone noticed that meme is me me? lol…) Enough of me!

    1. Lol… Thank you. You’re not the only one who has said that. One of Andrew’s best friends made me show him my ID when we were dating. And when I turned 40 our nephew’s girlfriend’s jaw dropped when she heard my age. I was often mistaken for our niece’s sister. My poor sister in-law. I do remember being addressed by someone who thought I was her daughter. Lol.

      I feel so much older than I look, though. Fatigue does that.

      2. Really, I still haven’t broke into my thirties? Lol… I even stopped dying my hair. But my grey streaks barely show in pictures. I think I’m part elf…lol. The other half is hobbit. I’m petite and I age slowly. I have no idea. Maybe it’s because I don’t drink, have never done drugs, never gave birth to a child, don’t worship the sun, am still a healthy weight, stay well hydrated, and eat fairly healthy? Or I’m a mutant. Lol.

    (By the way, and you can edit this part out, what does ironing have to do with this post? 😁)
    I love your pics! I may not post a super recent pic of myself since the camera is even more insulting than the mirror these days. Also, I need a haircut, and I chopped a few bangs until this whole COVID thing is over. 😂

    1. Lol… I understand what you mean about the camera being insulting. I took many pics in every kind of light around our suite. Lol. Brighter light usually produces better photos, but not always. I’m too critical of myself, as well. That never helps! So it goes a little like this… delete…delete…delete…that doesn’t even look like me…delete. Okay, those two make the cut.
