F(l)ight Songs #3

The third time’s the charm? Yes, charm sounds about right.

When I came across this video I knew it wasn’t a coincidence that there was a woodland flower as I’d written in my poem [Woodland Flower.]

What are the odds that the words of this song would also start with “I’m waking up”… just as the words of my poem? Yet, it didn’t sink in right away. I knew this was from God. I don’t think I even believe in coincidences any more. Nevertheless, the impact of this song didn’t hit me that day.

Saturday morning I had a really good conversation with the Lord. He knows what I need and where I’m struggling, but He wants us to say it, and He wants us to ask for what we need. I get that this is about a relationship with Him, but sometimes I just don’t have the words. I hit a wall and I just can’t speak.

After this heart to heart I felt that I needed to listen to some praise music. Then I came back to this song again and as I listened it hit me. Jesus is singing over me. He’s been singing over me…

I’ve been struggling to sing His praises, and He’s singing over me. Of course that did it. The waterworks started. This is exactly what I needed and asked from Him. I needed to feel His presence and see Him working. So He goes and sings over me? Oh man… the tears are starting up again.

He not only sings the song of our hurting hearts, but then He also reassures us that He’s with us and that it’s going to be okay. He will make a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Well, of course. He is the way after all. If that doesn’t delight (or charm) me than I’m truly asleep. Thankfully, I’m continuing to wake up because Jesus is kind and compationate, able to open our heavy eyes and lift a heavy heart.

The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Zepheniah 3:16

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6

  1. I agree Tina instead of coincidence we are often gifted with God-incidences, we just have to open our eyes to see them. Beautiful song! We are blessed that the Lord is with us and rejoices over us! 🌼🌼😊

  2. Yup I agree, I’ve decided I don’t believe in coincidences either…I like to refer to those type of ‘wow moments’ as God sightings❤️
Thankful for Gods faithfulness to us.

    1. God sightings is a nice way of putting it. I used to refer to them as Jesus and I moments. ❤ I haven't used that term for a while. About time, right!? 😊
