Little things can become big things and big things can become little things. It’s all a matter of perspective, right? Where is your heart? What means the most to you? For the Christian Faith Comes First.
We can look at the little picture and we can look at the bigger picture. I want to look at both with the right perspective. I want to dream about good things happening in my life here and now, but I don’t want to lose sight of the bigger picture.
Scripture says that where our treasure is there will be our heart also. We are to store up our treasures in heaven where nothing can destroy them. For the believer, heaven is our guarantee–the better country we’re longing for and the city that God has prepared for us. This earth shall pass away and so shall it’s ways.
Losses are inevitable here on earth, but heaven is the promise that all sorrows will cease. There will be no more death, no more pain and no more tears. Eternal peace with our Prince of Peace is the guarantee for those who allow Christ to rule in their hearts.
This doesn’t mean that I’ll stop dreaming about my life here on earth. A really special friend has convinced me not to give up on dreams. So as I store up my treasures in heaven–that is, as I continue to seek the kingdom of God (The bigger picture.) I will also hold on to the little picture. Let’s press on with hope and DREAM again. ❤
The Little Picture (Earthly Help)
“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. ❤Psalm 27:13-14
“By which he means, not only a continuance of the mercy and grace of God to his soul which he already possessed, and which supported him under his trials, but that he should outlive his troubles, and see or enjoy in this life that deliverance from them, and from all his enemies, implied in the promise of the kingdom which God had given him.”Benson Commentary
The Bigger Picture (Heavenly Hope)
“God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away.” ❤Revelation 21:4
