Signs

Look at the colours! Fallen leaves can be so lovely. Every season has it’s signs that change is coming.

The Lesson of the Fig Tree

β€œFrom the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near.”

Matthew 24:32

Jesus: A Sign that Should be Admired

“Christ foretells his second coming. It is usual for prophets to speak of things as near and just at hand, to express the greatness and certainty of them. Concerning Christ’s second coming, it is foretold that there shall be a great change, in order to the making all things new. Then they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds. At his first coming, he was set for a sign that should be spoken against, but at his second coming, a sign that should be admired. Sooner or later, all sinners will be mourners; but repenting sinners look to Christ, and mourn after a godly sort; and those who sow in those tears shall shortly reap in joy.

It’s Gonna Get Better…

  2. I love taking pictures of single leaves like that. They are so pretty. The first one is quite unusual. I also like to take close-ups of the bark of some trees that have a lot of texture. I’m still not seeing a lot of color change in the trees in my neighborhood, but it is likely to come all at once. This is very unusual this year. I dread the change into winter. I don’t like being cold and I don’t like to drive in the bad weather either. I would like to be able to hibernate.
