Sometimes the rain is refreshing
Sometimes the rain is a blessing
I don’t want to rush outside today
Inside I’ll rest, revive and pray.

Hope, Patience, and Faithfulness.
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Romans 12:12
“Then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.”
Leviticus 26:4
“Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit.”
James 5:18
“Now the apostle chose to give this example, because it was a common thing for the Jews to ask for rain: we often read of such a doctor, that he prayed for rain, and it came; and of another, that he asked for the rains, and they descended: and his view is to observe, that the weakness and infirmities of the saints ought not to discourage them from prayer; and that they should be earnest and fervent in it, as was Elias, a man of like passions with themselves”

May we learn to be thankful for the rain and the sun. Both serve a purpose. And rainy days can be soothing days to stay indoors and rest in the the Lord’s presence. Beautiful poem and post. Blessings, my friend. β€

Indeed. Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing.
One of favorite verses during a stressful time is Isaiah 30:15.
βIn repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.β
Some have talked about the benefits of prayer walking. Me? Iβm experimenting with prayer napping π€ (Pray until you fall π΄ asleep).

π Yes, this is very insightful! Actually, it’s funny prayer really can make you fall asleep. I need to remember that one when I wake in the middle of the night. Thanks David!
