Sometimes we forget (or perhaps you don’t even know), that God wants to show us that He is strong and able. He wants to be known by the world for who He is and what He can do.
Don’t we all desire to be known? To really be seen and understood? How much more do you think God wants to be known by His own creation? He created us for His glory and pleasure. He wants a relationship with us.
Do you believe that He is distant and unknowable? No way. You just have to let Him into your life.
Scripture says that we will find Him when we seek Him with all our heart, mind, soul and strength.
I absolutely believe that God draws us to Him. We could never come to Him on our own. Therefore, out of His great compassion and kindness He made a way for us to become His very own children. Nevertheless, once we let Him into our lives, it’s give and take. It’s our turn to pursue Him.
However, even when we turn away from Him He runs after us. He won’t let us go. Jesus mustn’t let us go. It’s what God the Father wants.
“I came down from heaven to do what God wants me to do, not what I want to do. Here is what the One who sent me wants me to do: I must not lose even one whom God gave me, but I must raise them all on the last day. Those who see the Son and believe in Him have eternal life, and I will raise them on the last day. This is what my Father wants.”
John 6:38-40
Even our own stubbornness is no match for a mighty God. The way to our Father in heaven was blasted open through Jesus’ death and resurrection. All we have to do is accept this gift and enter through that gate. By accepting Jesus we gain a guide for life, and a promise of eternal life. It does, however, mean letting Him past our defenses.
This too is something He will help us with. So He tells us to trust Him, and He reminds us that He never gave us a spirit of fear. He’ll do what it takes to get us to the finish line. He’ll prove His presence, and He will be known.
Nothing is impossible for God. He proved it on the cross, yet, He didn’t stop there. He wants to prove it in each and every one of His children’s lives.
Are you a child of God? Do you know Jesus? If you do, He has a plan for all of those seemingly impregnable defenses, including your own. If you haven’t accepted Jesus, what are you waiting for? You won’t find a better offer then the God who created you and loves you enough to see that the job He starts is finished.
Our God is a Mighty God
This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun. to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things.
Isaiah 45:1-7
Jesus: Mighty to Save ❤
“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.

This post is perfection. From beginning to end, I was nodding along with all that you said. And you worded it all so beautifully! I am so thankful for a loving Savior who pursues us and never gives up on us! If not for Him, I shudder to think where I would be. What a joy and gift Jesus is! Thank you for sharing this lovely post! Blessings, my friend and neighbor! ✝️

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I wasn’t even sure I was going to post yesterday. It was a bit down to the wire. But God shows that He comes through in perfect time. This is something I really need to be mindful about. I have a bad habit of feeling like time is passing me by or I’m wasting my time. I need to remember that my times are in His hands. He does come through for us and He is mighty to save. When we are weak, He is strong. Blessings to you also friend and neighbor. ❤
