It’s time to return to my Poetic Journey through the Book of John. Won’t you join me?
Unreceptive
Without God we are dim
Truly stumbling in the dark
Seperated
Blind
Far from His heart.
Till He opens our eyes
And fills us with life
Our spirit is unreceptive
To His glorious light.

The Light (God)
The Light shines on in the darkness [a], and the darkness did not understand it or overpower it or appropriate it or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].
Darkness (Sin)
a. the world immersed in sin: all that stands in opposition to God and biblical truth.
John 1:5 The Amplified Version
Our Three in One God
Like the facets of an engagement ring is the godhead.

It is God the Father, who draws us to Himself and who sent His Son Jesus Christ as our Redeemer and Healer. It is Christ our Savior who captivates us with His love, compassion, and countless worthy attributes. If we have seen (or known) Jesus, we have seen the Father. For the two are one. Jesus was not only sent, but He also chose to leave His throne in Heaven to make His Father’s will, His own death, resurrection, and future return known to mankind. Through Jesus’ blood (His sacrifice for our sins) He cleasens us from our impurity. He is our creator, our God and the keeper of our souls; our Shephard, King, brother and friend; our God is also our husband.
It is the Holy Spirit who we recieve as our helper (a gift) when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, who fills us (or dwells in us). He is the seal (our validation) that we belong to God. He will raise us to eternal life as He raised Jesus from His tomb. He teaches us, convicts us, guides us, gives us understanding, wisdom, power and spiritual gifts. He helps us when we are weak, and intercedes for us in prayer. He also comforts us in our distress so that we can comfort others in their distress, and He reminds us of all that Jesus has said.
Did I forget anything? π§π€ Oh, He makes us able to bear good fruit. These are gifts of the spirit. (Galatians 5:22-25)
Can you think of anything else we can say about our 3 in one God? Feel free to leave a comment. I would love to know. β€β€β€

Beautiful poem and post. It is amazing to reflect on how the Lord really can be our everything. Through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we lack nothing. Thank you for this reflection π¦

I enjoy your poetic writings through the book of John. This one was beautiful. Without the spirit in us we are unreceptive to Him- It is only through Him that our spiritual eyes and hearts are opened to perceive and experience the things of God.
How are you Tina? Yesterday late evening ( my time) I was reading something and you popped into my mind. I felt led to pray for you. That the Lord would meet you where you are at, would warp His arms around you, fill you with joy, lift you up and place your feet upon a rock and that you will feel His presence in a very tangible way.
May the Lord be with you my friend πππ½

Thank you so much Manu. I am currently okay. Tired, but okay. Andrew was up all night coughing. Currently I’m not sick, and trying to remain so. Itβs possible that God put you on my mind because my emotions are up and down and I get worn down easily. I’m trying to push forward with things but some days it’s an uphill challenge. God will get me there one step at a time, but I do feel more like I’m plodding through life than enjoying it. I’m trying to learn to drive, so that it’s easier to get out of the house when I need to, and we need to because Andrew isn’t always able to drive. I’m also planning to go back to college for an Early Childhood Education course so that I can seek employment that will help us monetarily and be something fulfilling in my life. So prayers for this path forward and more joy in my life would be so appreciated. Thank you for listening to God and praying for me. May God bless you and meet you in your challenges as well. ππ

Hope you stay well and not get sick Tina. And that Andrew gets well soon. Will pray for your driving and for direction about the whole process of going back to college for the ECE course. May the Lord guide and lead you. And in the everyday, may you be filled with his joy, able to focus on him when your mind can make you feel otherwise πππ½

Thank you so much, Manu! I did catch the bug, but my symptoms have been very mild (just a head cold). Andrewβs body handled it far worse, but he’s on the mend too. Your prayers are so appreciated. π
