Beginning Again: Big Leaves 🍃🍂

How do you begin again when it feels as if you’ve been such an off and on blogger for the last couple of years? *blushes* How do you take that leap of faith that this time will be the time you finally get back into the groove of things?

I want to blog again. Very much so. Hence, I’ve been preparing to do so. For starters I’m praying about it. I’ve also begun writing, trying to set myself up to be consistent with my posting. Not wanting to neglect my blogging community either, I’m choosing to post bi-monthly. (Or tri-monthly as the case may sometimes be.)

How about the first Thursday of the month for starters. Then I’ll post again 2 weeks later. I’ll use the Thursday in between to write and/or catch up on any blogs that I’ve neglected and missed out on.

It’s time to snap to it and begin again…. Is there anything that you need to begin again?

And now (drum roll) for some big leaves…

Pando got Plant 🍃🍂

I love big leaves and I cannot lie

Some tree lovers might deny

When a leaf falls down bigger than your feet

And your eyes are not deceived…. 🔍 😯

And if you don’t know what I just did there, look up the song Baby Got Back. I much prefer my rendition. 🤣

Why “Pando got Plant?” See this post here —-> Pando The Trembling Giant (Thrive)

Pando has got some plant, baby.

The following leaves are Quaking Aspen leaves. The same species of tree which makes up the colony of trees in Utah known as Pando.

Thank you for reading, for putting up with me, and God Bless. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  1. Those really are big leaves! I thought about an elderly friend who has now passed away. She used to have a fit when her neighbor’s magnolia leaves would get in her yard. She would be outside picking them up. I can’t even imagine how she would deal with these leaves in her yard. 🤣
And I agree that I like your version better than the song. 🤣
I like that you have a plan in place to help you focus on blogging more. I think that’s helpful to keep you on track. But don’t be too hard on yourself. You have had a busy and challenging couple of years with your career path. Sometimes we can only do so much.

    1. Yes, that’s true, Bridget. I have had a busy and challenging year. But things are a lot calmer and I do have some time now that I could spend writing, so I’m being tough on myself to get back into the swing of things. I guess I feel like I don’t have any good reason not to. So let’s see how the plan pans out. Prayers would be appreciated. I feel so rusty and low on creativity. Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. 💖🌸

      1. I know exactly how you feel. And I hope you don’t mind me reflecting on our conversation in a post. Your words reminded me that we need to feed the things we want to grow! I’m praying for you, friend. Step by step, you will get there. 🙏🏻🤍

      2. No, I don’t mind at all. Those words are so true, Bridget. We do need to feed the things we want to grow. 🌿 Thank you so much for your prayers. 🤍🙏

  2. Glad you’re back, Tina. I always enjoyed your posts. Twice in the past couple of years I have written a post on my blog apologizing for my absence, and I still haven’t posted anything else. I just can’t seem to have either the motivation or the energy to do it. I turned 80 in July, and I think Grandma Moses began her painting career at about that age, so I really have no excuse. 🙂 Looking forward to reading your posts again.

    Those leaves are gigantic!

    1. Thank you, Diane. Well, if the motivation isn’t there, maybe the interest has sailed it’s course and there are other things you’d just rather do than write. It’s also perfectly fine if you don’t have the energy. I’m 51 and sometimes I don’t have the energy for things either. It happens to the best of us at any age.

And yes, I was surprised at the size of some of the Aspen leaves!

  3. Those leaves are huge!!!
Definitely prefer your poem over the baby got back song lol
I hear ya on wanting to get back into somewhat of a blogging routine!! I’m hit and miss for sure. Life is just busy so it’s understandable.. but for me it’s important to make sure I’m carving out time for this sweet space we have here with blogging.
You look beautiful btw!!! Great photos!!

    1. Thank you, Ali! 🧡 <—- I've decided to start using orange hearts. Not only for the Autumn season, but also, I've just learned that they signify warmth, friendship and care. All the good things I want to signify and share with the friends in this sweet space (as you've correctly and sweetly described it.) So, I may make them permanent. A fresh change from red or pink hearts.

And now that I've significantly jabbered about nothing, I wish you many blessings and much joy both in your busy life endeavors and your blogging schedule. Let's pray that we both make a great effort at carving out the right amount of time.

      Take care, my friend 🧡

      1. Do I like snow sledding? 🤣 Well, I haven’t been snow sledding in a very long time. Kind of a bit crazy living so close to the mountains here in BC. I definitely don’t have enough fun these days. I need to find ways of remedying that. Maybe I need to find a group of people who like Winter activities like sledding. 🤣
