Before I tell you a little about this challenge. I first have to address the photo that I chose for this post. One of my goals for this blog is to remember to enjoy life. So I appreciate all the wonderful photographs that everyone shares, including those who make their work free-to-use.
I love photography, but I haven’t been able to get into it myself. That being said, most of the photos I use come from Pixabay, but occasionally I will use Unsplash. The photo above is by Pixabay user Willgard. Isn’t it just awesome? Having two cats of our own, I could be a tad biased, but I don’t think so—it’s really quite eye catching and playful.
Poetry Challenges
Until now, I’ve never taken a poetry challenge, but it sounded like fun. Plus, it’s a great way to be part of a community and encourage one another. So I’m aiming to take on more of these challenges!
First up is PoetryHost’s Memories Challenge. If you aren’t familiar with PoetryHost follow the link. The following poem is also based on the photo prompt of a young lady surrounded by bubbles and onlookers. Happy writing. –Tina
Memory Lane
Looking up
I see you smiling down on me
These memories are priceless
It’s been quite the journey
When I was laid low by my own failures
You always listened to each rising prayer
And when my answers came
I was thrilled that You were there.
I hate to burst their bubble, Lord
But nothing less will ever last
My joy in You is unsurpassed
Not even when suffering darkens my path.

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11
It’s beautiful that you have Precious Memories of Jesus and His love. A lovely poem of praise!
