It’s a peaceful word
Yet I struggle to rest
As I lean on my understanding
And what I believe is best
It’s a reassuring word
No, we don’t have to fret
Yet I find myself weary
From this match that I’ve met
Why do I wrestle?
Why do I fight?
Why don’t I surrender?
And let you make everything light?
Why do I worry?
When the battles been won?
Why not let life’s darkness disappear with the Son?

“Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.”
Psalm 116:7
This reminds me of the old song by Second Chapter of Acts- Mansion Builder.

Thank you! 😃 You’re right. The same meaning is there. That’s pretty cool. We’re all the same. We struggle to trust God even though He’s given us His promises that He is for us and He won’t stop working on us. Thanks for sharing that, Matt!
