I believe it’s a blessing
Yet it feels like a curse
Oh how I hate to see anyone hurt
For I’ve been there too
I know those sad tunes
And those dreary melancholy views.
But I know there’s still joy
For I’ve also known grace
When the world turns grey
He doesn’t turn away
He’s forever and always the Rock who won’t change.
So I pray that you’ll know where strength comes from
And I ask that you’re lifted by His unfailing love
May you never truly walk alone
When you feel like a stranger
On a path that’s grown cold.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.”
