I can’t believe that September is here again. This month marks another year of blogging. I may do some looking back as I’ve traditionally done for the last few years. It gives me a chance to see what God has done. It’s so good to focus on the positives, right? We can also go over the things that didn’t go so well. There are lessons there forsure.
I didn’t think I’d have a post tonight, but the days ahead are on my mind, and, well, a song by Casting Crowns was on my heart. This wonderful band has helped bring me through a lot. So many times their music has spoken to me in a time of need. They are pretty special.
Mark Hall also has a really amazing testimony. If he hadn’t followed God’s lead I would have missed out on those songs that helped me so much. How many more can say the same thing? I can think of a few. I met one of my best friends over a Casting Crowns song that I’d posted the lyrics to. So, yep, they are pretty special.
I’d like to share a song that I personally need right now, as well as Mark Halls testimony. It’s a good one. He speaks about his struggles with Dyslexia and ADD, and the journey He almost didn’t embark on because he didn’t think he was good enough. He’s a pretty funny guy to listen to, and though the video will take about 20 mins of your time, it’s time well spent.
God certainly proved Mark wrong. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. ❤
Casting Crowns
Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
Psalm 143:8
It’s a wonderful song.

What a touching and amazing testimony! Every youth group should hear it.
My quote to dwell on: “If I (God) wanted someone else I would have called someone else.”
God will give us what we need to follow His path. Tina, thanks for sharing! ✝

Yes, I love his testimony. It’s not the first time I’ve needed it or used it. Bleasings to you as well, Bridget. ❤

Oh, thank you, Tina! I adore Casting Crowns. Their music has been a mainstay for me, especially on some very dark days, but I can’t believe I had never heard Mark Hall’s testimony till now! What an encouragement and a beautiful reminder of how He chooses us even when we cannot see why. I admit I still grapple often with self-doubt, particularly when life is pressing in as it has been recently. And I confess I fear the same for my children, as they, too, grapple with the struggles that come with special needs. I don’t want to see them grow up feeling less than. Mark’s testimony is a wonderful reminder, however, of how God equips us. Thank you again. Just what I needed today. Blessings, dear friend. ❤

You’re so welcome. I need it too. I struggle with that self-doubt too forgetting to depend on the Lord for my help. Where does my help come from, right? Blessings back at ya, Marisa. ❤
