Weight

Tired 

Beat down

Run into the ground

How shall I face the day…

With this weight that hinders my pace? 

Struggling 

Worn out

My soul thirsts in this drought 

Where shall this weary way lead?

Roses

I really really needed this song. I’ve had my eye on it for a while now because Mathew Parker has some great music. However, I kept passing it by. Why? Who knows. I keep looking at life’s thorns instead.

I must admit, that when you feel, some days, as if you’re engulfed in thorns it’s not easy to stop and smell the roses. But we need to encourage one another to try, and ask God for that help.

  2. I agree, it can be difficult to smell the roses when we are tangled up in the thorns. The way you put that is perfect. I have been dealing with many ups and downs, for different reasons. I am so thankful we can hand our burdens to Jesus. That helps. But I have found that it has to be a conscious decision. Prayers and blessings, dear friend! 🌹
