Oh how I wish I could shut up like a telescope! I think I could, if I only know how to begin.’ For, you see, so many out-of-the-way things had happened lately, that Alice began to think that very few things indeed were really impossible.”
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
I need to start taking notice (again) of those out-of-the-way things that God does. If you’ve been following Jesus then you’ll know exactly what I mean. They are the mercies that are new each morning. The way God helps, directs, inspires, lifts, teaches, nudges, and even delights our souls. They are “coincidences” that aren’t so coincidental. I like to call them bread crumbs. I like to follow them and gobble them up! Or at least I did before my feet became stuck in the miry clay. But even here He has sustained me. Even here He will lift us. ❤ Nothing is impossible for God. He cares for His children and gives them joy, hope and peace, setting their feet on solid ground again.
Jesus Listens and Answers our cries for Help
” I waited and waited and waited for God.
At last He looked; finally He listened.
He lifted me out of the ditch,
pulled me from deep mud.
He stood me up on a solid rock
to make sure I wouldn’t slip.
He taught me how to sing the latest God-song,
a praise-song to our God.
More and more people are seeing this:
they enter the mystery,
abandoning themselves to God.”
Psalm 40:1-3 MSG
The Parable of the Persistent Widow
Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’
“For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”
And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for His chosen ones, who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off? I tell you, He will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”

Wow… this one is difficult to respond to. But not impossible. ❤
I can think of a few scenarios that would make this possible. Amnesia, senility, time travel. Okay, so the last one is only a theory, but still, it’s possible.
Missed you too Daryl. ❤ Glad to see that the Covid didn’t get you. 😋

This is such an important reminder. It’s so easy to get caught up in our own limitations. Nothing is impossible for God. ❤️

It’s a good thing that nothing is impossible with God! I sometimes myself in situations where I feel I don’t belong. My conversation with God goes something like this: “Why am I here, Lord? This isn’t for me.” God’s answer is always the same, “There’s a job to do and I want you to do it, David.”
Blessings!

Yes I do know what you mean. I want to be better about seeing those “coincidences” too. Some days I am. But not most days. And I am sure every day God has something wonderful for us, if we just open our eyes and hearts. Blessings my friend ❤️

Some days, or seasons, it’s so difficult to see them. Sometimes faith wears a bit thin, But God never changes and neither do His promises. So whether we recognize that God is working, or not, we can keep holding onto His promises and every word that He has spoken. It makes me think of this song I love: Man of Your Word. If Jesus said it. We believe it. Blessings to you too Bridget. ❤
