[…deeper into the path…]
A Pilgrimage takes one on a long journey. Usually to a foreign country. As followers of Christ that country is heaven. However, God also takes us on our own individualized journeys that may lead us to unimaged places here on earth.
“Faith motivated Abraham to obey God’s call and leave the familiar to discover the territory he was destined to inherit from God. So he left with only a promise and without even knowing ahead of time where he was going, Abraham stepped out in faith.
Hebrews 11:8 (The Passion Translation)
The Narrow Path
The narrow path compels questions, learning and growth. It requires change, submission, seeking, asking, repentance, obedience and sacrifice. It isn’t a straight line; the terrain isn’t always easy; we can stumble; we may take a wrong turn; we may go backwards; storms may batter our wings; and we can be thrown off course.
Nevertheless, we can also end up where we’re meant to be and find joy and peace on this same path. Apparently, our times are in God’s hands. Thus, He’s accounted for life’s storms and missteps.
A person’s steps are directed by the Lord,
Psalm 37:23-24 (GOD’S WORD Translation)
and the Lord delights in his way.
When he falls, he will not be thrown down headfirst
because the Lord holds on to his hand.
A person may plan his own journey,
Proverbs 16:9 (GOD’S WORD Translation)
but the Lord directs his steps.
A person may have many ideas concerning God’s plan for his life, but only the designs of God’s purpose will succeed in the end.
Proverbs 19:21 (The Passion Translation)
Hope + Belief = Resiliency
God remains the anchor for our souls when we overshoot or veer off in the wrong direction. He reminds us what we need to do and how we can strengthen our feeble limbs for the Pilgrimage ahead.
Therefore, it matters not the way the wind has blown. What matters is that we allow those gales to lift us higher as the Eagle does.
Yet, the strength of those who wait with hope in the Lord
Isaiah 40:31 (GOD’S WORD Translation)
will be renewed.
They will soar on wings like eagles.
They will run and won’t become weary.
They will walk and won’t grow tired.
I would have despaired had I not believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
Psalm 27:13-14 (Amplified Bible)
In the land of the living.
Wait for and confidently expect the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for and confidently expect the Lord.
Soaring (Joy)
As I’ve been backing up my former blog (to officially shut it down) I’ve decided to continue my “flying lessons” here under the category Pippi’s Pilgrimage. Let’s see If I can rise up on wings like Eagles. With Christ Jesus’ help all things are possible.
Below is an inspirational video of the Eagle’s mentality. I hope you’ll take a moment to watch it and be encouraged and inspired by everything that God provides to lift us higher. (Romans 1:20)
Yet you must continue to advance in strength with the truth wrapped around your heart, being assured by God that he’s the One who has truly taught you all these things.
Remember what you were taught from your childhood from the Holy Scrolls which can impart to you wisdom to experience everlasting life through the faith of Jesus, the Anointed One! God has transmitted his very substance into every Scripture, for it is God-breathed. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness. Then you will be God’s servant, fully mature and perfectly prepared to fulfill any assignment God gives you.

Great post, Tina!
May we fly like eagles and not squawk like parrots. May we learn to rely on God, glide above the storm clouds, follow His path, and find peace. Have a wonderful, peace-filled week! 💗✨🍁🌺

This is such an encouraging post. And I loved the video too. I feel like I have been walking through a storm lately. But I am so glad to know that no matter what I am walking through, God will guide me to where I need to be. I just need to remain anchored to Him. God Bless You for being such an inspiration and good friend. ♥️

Thank you Bridget. I’m sorry you feel like you’ve been walking through a storm lately. The struggle is real. But we have a mighty God who can still the wind and waves or calm His child. Often He uses the storm for His purpose. Know that He always has a firm grip on us. God bless you as well. ❤
