In The Spring

Spring is springing! Life is bursting forth once again as the daffodils sway in the wind and cherry blossoms turn tree tops pink, soon to carpet the earth.

As cherry blossom’s bloom-time is short, so too life in these bodies has its time limit. But God’s word remains, unchanging, always faithful, true and life giving.

The grass dies and the flowers fall, but the word of God will live forever.”

Isaiah 40:8 (New Century Version)

Speaking of words (or messages), it was Martin Luther who was quoted as saying:

Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in springtime.

Martin Luther

Though our bodies must return to the dust from which they came, in Christ Jesus We will live once again. His death and resurrection secures a place with Him in eternity, for those of us who believe.

All of creation, whether it’s Spring’s attributes or something else that can be seen, felt and witnessed by the human eye, speaks volumes of God’s power, eternal nature and his divinity.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Romans 1:20 (NIV)

In the Springtime I’m not only convinced that I see this in all that He has created, but I also feel it in my heart and soul.

Till it’s Clear that Spring has Sprung

In the spring

  There’s a spring

     In my step

        Once again.

When the world bursts with life

Dead revived

Bud and stem.

In the spring

  Comes the song

    As the Lark

      Builds her nest.

Nature thrives

Blooms arrive

No more still nether-rest.

In the Spring

  Rain brings life

     Evermore

        Yet to come.

Hatchlings born

Trees adorned

Till it’s clear, Spring has sprung.

Spring 2018

Meditate on the faithfulness of God’s promises this Spring (and coming Easter break) as all that has been dormant blooms once again in all its fullness and beauty. Then allow God’s word and His grace to give you wings to rise above your troubles. This message is always a much needed reminder for me as well.

I’m currently on practicum! One week down. 3 more weeks to go until I’m back to the virtual classroom for several more modules. Then I have my final practicum in the Summer months. Prayers would greatly be appreciated.

I have applied for the ECE bursary. Please pray that this financial support comes through as well. Thank you. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    1. We are rain covered here mostly on the Westcoast. We get a bit of snow, but not like the rest of the country or even the rest of the Province. We’re closer to Vancouver. Definitely milder weather here.
