I want to grow wings
And rise up again
Will I find my way?
Do trials ever end?
I want to live
I want to be free
Will I find my passion
That I lost at sea?
When I fall, will I rise?
Will I hear God’s song?
Will I find my strength
When I can’t carry on?
Will the path underfoot
Soften with each step
Or will the further I travel
Crush me instead?
I have to believe
I can’t give in to doubt
I must hold on to hope
And let my wings start to sprout.
I must have some faith
When the waters rise
I must remember each promise
When I’m buried in lies
I want to soar
I want to know peace
I must patiently trust
I’ve got to believe.

Trust in God
